HEDGEHOG LAB LIMITED helps organisations plan, research and build digital products. Every project begins as a set of hypotheses — below are three we hold about product work itself.
Bring to front:
Hypothesis A · Research
We believe the riskiest assumption in most products is the technologywhether anyone needs it.
How we’d test it
Talk to likely users before designing, and look for evidence of the problem in their own words.
We’d be wrong if
Users already describe the problem clearly and are actively looking for a solution.
Hypothesis B · Build
We believe a product improves faster when it ships once, finishedsmall, then often.
How we’d test it
Release a narrow first version, measure how it is used, and let the evidence pick the next feature.
We’d be wrong if
The audience cannot tolerate an incomplete first version — in regulated settings, sometimes true.
Hypothesis C · Teams
We believe the best product decisions come from a long specificationa shared, visible backlog.
How we’d test it
Keep decisions in one place both teams can see, and review them together at a regular rhythm.
We’d be wrong if
Decisions keep getting made outside the backlog — a signal to change the process.
